Stant Manufacturing Inc. has announced a line of fuel and locking fuel caps for use on flex fuel cars and trucks that feature yellow plastic covers and an “E85/ Gasoline” designation to remind motorists that they have the option to use E85 Ethanol or gasoline in their vehicles. Stant currently supplies General Motors with their original equipment yellow cover fuel caps for flex fuel applications. 

The product line consists of six non-locking and six locking caps covering virtually all flex fuel vehicles made over the past seven years. The product line covers flex fuel  models made by Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Mercury and Plymouth.

All current Stant replacement fuel and locking caps are now flex fuel compatible and have been for years. Consumers now have the option to use the existing Stant replacement cap or the new yellow cover version. New flex fuel line part numbers are the same as Stant existing equivalent part numbers with the addition of a “Y” at the end.
